There, that’s a better font. It’s always nice to spend a few moments on presentation. I wouldn’t say it’s the most important thing in the world but it does set the stage for what is to come. Then again, that is just my view and presentation is a stronger value for some families than it is for others. How important is it to you?
This is my 2nd Blog post of all time, so I would just like to congratulate myself for writing it. I’m no expert, and self-expression doesn’t come easily to me so the habit of blogging is something I know I need to learn, and I need to learn it by doing it.
Today I met with Katrina McCarter from Marketing to Mums Pty Ltd (https://marketingtomums.com.au/) in Melbourne, Australia. As I told her over our Skype call, considering her area of expertise, I couldn’t possibly move forward with my concept for The Baby Leader without talking with her about it!
The session was humbling, not only to learn how little I know about marketing to Mums but also to be on the receiving end of a consultation. It reminded me of something Emeritus Professor Dorothy Scott said when I attended her workshop at the recent Karitane Conference in Sydney, Australia last month. She talked about ‘the cost of clienthood’ - a term she told me by email that she coined. I’ve been able to find one book with a similar title so I have ordered that to deepen my knowledge on the subject.
Having mentioned Dorothy Scott, here is a link to an interview with her in her role as Director of the Australian Centre for Child Protection.
Thank-you for reading.
