This week I have been learning about digital marketing. I’ve always found the topic complex and occasionally wonder if I would have been better served majoring in Marketing rather than Management when I studied my Business Degree from Monash University, Australia and which I completed in 2010.
A lot was going on for me that year, my nephew was turning 2 years old and I still hadn’t yet decided to leave him to live in Melbourne. It was in fact the night of my Graduation that solidified that decision in my life, looking out over the city from a Southbank apartment on City Rd gave me a sense of direction that ultimately lead me here, the first The Baby Leader blog post ever (and potentially the last!).
Following the advice of http://www.completedigitalmarketingcourse.com (to which I purchased lifetime access for a total investment of US$29) I input my website domain http://www.thebabyleader.com on to http://www.namevine.com to bring up a list of the platforms where I had not yet registered my brand name – one of those was WordPress, so here I am claiming possession of a blog, even if I never use it again!
I’ll complete this post by adding my Graduation photo *goes rifling through Dropbox…’I know I had one in here somewhere’*
PS. I couldn’t find one of me in my Mortarboard, instead I’ve loaded one of my few family of origin photos. It was taken at my Graduation dinner and it seemed a fitting image for an Infant and Family Consultant to lead with. In the picture is my Brother, my Mother, my Father and I.
This first ever blog post has turned more personal than I thought I would be sharing. I am now hoping that nobody reads it…which is completely misaligned with my digital marketing objective now isn’t it?!
If you have found it… thank-you for your time, feel free to leave a comment!
